How I help

Decisive leadership requires clarity, confidence, and the ability to navigate complexity with conviction. My coaching helps senior leaders understand themselves and their contexts more deeply, enabling them to:

  • Make confident decisions based on heightened self-awareness and perspective.

  • Reframe challenges to create opportunities for meaningful change.

  • Lead with conviction and foster sustainable organisational transformation.

I work with leaders at all stages of their careers, from emerging talent to experienced executives, with particular expertise in C-suite leadership and talent development. At the top levels of leadership, decision-making can feel isolating. I provide a confidential, non-judgemental, yet challenging space where senior leaders can explore barriers, gain fresh perspectives, and develop solutions with clarity and confidence.

Each coaching engagement is tailored. No two leaders are the same, and no two coaching series are identical. Whether you're making high-stakes strategic decisions, transitioning in your career, or looking to strengthen your leadership capacity, I provide the space, challenge, and accountability to help you achieve meaningful results.

My Approach

At my core, I am a coach, providing a structured space for clients to explore challenges, unlock insights, and develop their leadership approach. My coaching style is non-judgmental, results-driven, and deeply focused on personal and professional growth.

However, I also work as a consultant, offering strategic insight and expertise when needed—particularly in areas such as organisational change, leadership development, and team culture. My approach is flexible, adjusting to the needs of each client:

✔️ Pure Coaching – Asking powerful questions, offering observations, and helping clients develop their own solutions.
✔️ Targeted Consulting – When appropriate, I provide expert insight and frameworks to help leaders navigate specific challenges.

I draw on principles from Gestalt coaching, which helps leaders:

✔️ Develop greater awareness of their leadership patterns and decision-making processes.
✔️ Understand their impact within their organisation and team.
✔️ Express themselves with confidence, using both voice and body language effectively.
✔️ Navigate change successfully, identifying practical steps to move forward.

I incorporate a range of creative techniques to challenge and stretch thinking, including role-play, chair-work, and visual exercises. Above all, my coaching is focused on measurable results, with clear success criteria set at the outset to ensure accountability and real progress.

My background

I am a parent, a lover of the outdoors, a reader, someone who hugely values his friends and loved ones, and someone who believes in things being fair. I am a Londoner.

I had a successful career in education. I spent years working as a teacher in schools in Manchester and London, eventually working as a headteacher in an inner-London primary school. The school I ran was a happy and successful place, and a place that was run ethically and thoughtfully. I particularly enjoyed developing staff and thinking with other leaders about how best to support all children to reach further and gain understanding of the world around them. As a leader, I worked with staff and stakeholders from a very wide range of backgrounds, and relished the challenge of supporting them. I sat on a number of educational boards in London and was often asked to speak on education at national events, particularly about safeguarding, reading, and the use of technology in schools.

Before teaching, I completed a music degree, and ran an audio engineering company. I have volunteered with a charity that takes children and vulnerable adults camping to wild parts of the UK for many years.

My training and accreditation

I am an experienced, qualified coach, with many hours of experience. My clients work in a wide range of industries. I have completed the Practitioner Diploma in Executive Coaching with the Academy of Executive Coaching (AOEC), meaning I have had more than 60 hours teaching. I am accredited by the EMC, and I work to a strict code of ethics which you can read here, and I receive regular professional supervision.
